Nationwide Apnea Analysis (NAA) is a Home
Sleep Testing (HST) program available locally in Florida
and nationally through
Sleep
Management Centers, a Medicare registered IDTF that
is fully accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine
(AASM). This service follows the new Medicare NCD/LCD guidelines
for all regions of the country as it is provided by RPSGT’s
and Board Certified Sleep Physicians within an AASM accredited
facility. Using the latest portable sleep recording technology
and digital information management software, this unique
program can be utilized in a wide variety of sectors in
sleep medicine, which includes medical practices, sleep
diagnostic facilities, dental sleep professionals, surgical
centers, bariatric, perioperative, pain management, health
wellness programs, transportation and other service industries.
This inexpensive HST program allows you
to reliably test patients for sleep apnea in the comfort
of their own homes. The recording device weighs less than
3 ounces and is the approximate size of a small cell phone.
It records a number of cardio-pulmonary signals up to 24
hours and meets all AASM guidelines for
Portable
Monitoring using type-3 devices. The results of the
portable study are uploaded to the NAA server computer and
automatically analyzed, reviewed by a registered sleep technologist,
and interpreted by a board certified sleep physician. A
complete report including study results and treatment recommendations
are available within 72 hours. This information is also
imported into an outcomes tracking database, and the raw
data is archived offsite in a secure location.
